For more than 25 years we have had the privilege to offer our guests a premiere upland wing shooting experience and 2010 looks to be nothing short of a successful venue. Providing our guests the opportunity to hunt the “Grand Slam of the Dakota's”, South Dakota is the land of the Chinese ring-necked pheasant, Hungarian partridge, Sharp-tail grouse, and Prairie chicken. Migrating Canada geese and mallard ducks can be found intermingling with the upland species from mid-November through January. With solid bird counts from spring hatches and more than 12,000 acres to hunt, expect 2010 to provide even the discerning sportsman a hunt to remember.

Your day begins at 8:00 am with a hearty breakfast prepared by our extraordinary chef Joe Fossett. Following breakfast the morning of your first day of hunting, you will be presented a safety briefing. At 9:00 am your guide(s) will greet you in the locker room and take you to the fields in our hunt buses. At noon you'll arrive back at the lodge for a warm lunch and a brief R&R period prior to the afternoon hunt.

During your afternoon hunt, you may continue hunting pheasants or conquer the wild prairies for the elusive sharp-tail grouse and prairie chicken. Having the opportunity to shoot a multitude of different species separates us from the norm.

At the end of your day enjoy a round of sporting clays or settle back, put your feet up and enjoy a good book in front the fireplace. After you've let Chef Joe tempt your taste buds with a five star evening meal, relax in the spa area or just sit back and enjoy a fine cigar in the Hickok Cigar Room.
