It’s official. 2022 winter and spring wheat harvest are officially wrapped up. Yields were in the low 80’s for spring wheat and upper 90’s for winter wheat. Not too shabby. Corn, sunflowers, soybeans, and grain sorghum (to be harvested later this fall in only an order that mother nature knows) are doing well as we anticipate August rains. August is our first real pheasant outlook, as they prefer wheat for nesting and habitat through the first ½ of the growing season. Population looks very strong and brood numbers are high. Only 6 weeks until the start of the 2022 hunting season!
